Shamiana
Shamiyana are traditional Indian tents with flat roofs. The tents have historically been used in India and worldwide for outdoor gatherings, as sun shelters, for weddings, in restaurants and hotels, etc. The tents can be installed on bamboo poles or metal poles with base plates for hard ground. The outer layer is made up of multicoloured or customised fabric, and the inner layer has the same patchwork pattern as the Shamiyana. The interior of the Shamiyana is often decorated with additional wedding furniture like lanterns to upscale the aesthetic appeal of the event. The tents require three kanats for each of the three sides, with one side left open.
